Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Coordinate project meetings and project output; prepare specifications, correspondence and other related project documentation

- Set up and maintain all project documents and document control procedures, including setting up paper and electronic filing systems, registering all incoming and outgoing project documents, and timely filing, especially of project master documents

- Process all Change Orders, RFI’s and Submittals and maintain construction administration database on a daily basis.

- Process, log and distribute incoming mail, packages, labels and envelopes for mail and messenger services

- Create PowerPoint presentations

- Correct and Proofread documents

Qualifications:

- 2 years of college

- Advanced knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint

- Ability to type 50-60 words per minute

- Experience with construction specification documents

- 2-4 years general office and/ or administrative experience

- Experience in the Engineering, Architecture or Construction industry required for consideration

Work from engineer's markups under minimum supervision in the production of mechanical construction documents, including drafting of schematics, plans, sections and details for HVAC, fire protection and plumbing projects using Microstation and AutoCAD, including routing services to avoid clashes with structure, other services, etc.

Plotting, collate and review drawings for accuracy and compliance with relevant CAD standard before issues.

•

Support HVAC, fire protection and plumbing BIM production in producing building services systems layouts and riser diagrams.

•

Assist in implementing office BIM/CAD standards

•

Ability to serve as a resource to project team members in the use of various BIM software.

•

Coordinate with internal and external design teams in the completion BIM projects.

•

Consulting experience in the architecture, engineering or construction industry is strongly desired.

•

Sound knowledge of the various building systems and how they relate to each other for the purpose of 3D model coordination is strongly desired.

•

Utilization of Navisworks platform for 3D clash detection is an asset.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals.

At least 12 years of experience in the HVAC industry with at least 500,000sf of hospital design experience in the past 6 years, with evidence of involvement in concept design through construction administration and commissioning of systems.

Have project management, multidisciplinary coordination and supervisorial experience.

Business development capabilities, commercial/financial awareness.

PE required.

•

Experience with OSHPD required.

•

Evidence of public recognition of expertise preferred (articles, conference papers, ASHRAE committee membership, speaking engagements, etc)
