The hired candidate will be familiar with working in Toronto and Ontario, have an up to date knowledge of all the Agencies in Toronto as well as the major provincial agencies such as Metrolinx. The position is based in Toronto but may require travel within and outside of Ontario.<br/><br/>In joining a multidisciplinary team of Engineers experienced in Transit and Infrastructure projects the job responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:<br/><br/>Play a significant role in the leadership of the group<br/><br/>Responsible for company-wide projects/activities<br/><br/>Can identify potential markets and procure work independently<br/><br/>Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them<br/><br/>Responsible on projects for financial performance, client relations and team motivation<br/><br/>Incorporate sustainable design methods into all aspects of design<br/><br/>Report writing<br/><br/>Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines<br/><br/>Visit project sites during construction<br/><br/>Manage work and development of other staff<br/><br/>Manage medium or large projects<br/><br/>Represent group at board level meetings<br/><br/>Contribute to corporate business strategy and plan long term business focused solutions<br/><br/>Requirements:<br/><br/>Bachelors/Masters Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with a sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals<br/><br/>Qualified professionals will have a minimum 12-15 years of experience with prior work done on infrastructure projects in and around Toronto and Ontario<br/><br/>PEng license required<br/><br/>Sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals<br/><br/>Working knowledge of Civil 3D, inroads and other design packages<br/><br/>Prior managerial experience is preferred.<br/><br/>Qualities:<br/><br/>Good communication skills essential for team-based working<br/><br/>Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment<br/><br/>Skilled at forming and managing teams collaboratively, and working with Sub Consultants<br/><br/>Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges]]></description>

Experience working with HEC-RAS, OTTHYMO, and other related design software used in GTA to do hydrology, storm, sanitary and watermain calculations.
