<title><![CDATA[Electrical CAD Technician - (Toronto, ON)]]></title>

Our integrated approach to engineering and design brings together the best professionals to meet our clients’ needs.<br/><br/>We are currently seeking an Electrical CAD Technician to work as part of a design team on a number of projects in our Toronto office. The hired candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers and assist with various aspects including but not limited to:<br/><br/>Designing and drafting lighting and receptacle/branch circuits.<br/><br/>Designing and drafting lighting systems based on a chosen fixture.<br/><br/>Designing and drafting fire alarm systems.<br/><br/>Drafting plant rooms and coordinated engineering sections.<br/><br/>Coordination between in house structural, mechanical, plumbing and fire engineering disciplines, and with external architects.<br/><br/>Issuing and archiving drawings and specifications.<br/><br/>Prepare and review drawings detailing the design as instructed<br/><br/>Prepare reports as requested<br/><br/>Work on defined tasks under close supervision<br/><br/>Requirements:<br/><br/>Qualification in Auto CAD<br/><br/>Minimum of 2 years experience in electrical design to Canadian codes and standards with a proven track record of designing electrical systems.<br/><br/>Experience in Automated building systems (ABS) and/or site experience is a plus.<br/><br/>Qualities:<br/><br/>Good communication skills essential for team-based working<br/><br/>Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment<br/><br/>Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges<br/><br/>Share your passion and experience in a global culture that believes your potential to achieve is endless.<br/><br/>This is your opportunity to shine. ;Arup is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Civil CAD Technician - (Toronto, ON)]]></title>

The successful candidate will have strong experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation for planning, design, and production of structural drawings for infrastructure and buildings projects.<br/><br/>Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:<br/><br/>Work from engineer's markups and sketches under minimum supervision.<br/><br/>Work under pressure in order to met project deadlines.<br/><br/>Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines<br/><br/>Work under nominal supervision for all but demanding work<br/><br/>Take responsibility for definable parts of a project<br/><br/>Ensure outputs meet the required standards and meet agreed deadlines.<br/><br/>Requirements:<br/><br/>3-5 years experience in the production of infrastructure drawings.<br/><br/>Proficient in MicroStation or AutoCAD<br/><br/>Experience in InRoads; proficiency in Revit would be a plus.<br/><br/>Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.<br/><br/>Qualities:<br/><br/>Work effectively in a team environment, and a strong commitment to succeed.<br/><br/>Excellent communication skills.<br/><br/>Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.<br/><br/>Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.<br/><br/>Share your passion and experience in a global culture that believes your potential to achieve is endless.
