We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the efforts on the design of all utilities for various infrastructure projects in Toronto, Ontario. The hired candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers and assist with various aspects including but not limited to:

Undertake highway and railway engineering using knowledge of a wide range of engineering skills including: land formation and earthworks, highways design, subdivisions, hydrology, hydraulic analysis and stormwater drainage systems; sanitary drainage systems; power, gas, telecommunications and water supply infrastructure.

Participate in traffic engineering and transportation analysis.

Review drawings detailing the systems designed; System design calculations.

Report writing.

Monitor quality of work and perform project reviews.

Requirments:

Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field plus 3

years experience in the offered position or related civil engineering/project engineering occupation.

As an alternative to a MS + 3, we'll accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in the offered position or related civil engineering/project engineering occupation.

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

E

xperience or coursework must include

the following:

Engineering skills including: land formation and earthworks, highways design, subdivisions, hydrology, hydraulic analysis and stormwater drainage systems; sanitary drainage systems; power, gas, telecommunications and water supply infrastructure;

Understanding of interactions with associated disciplines:

geotechnics, traffic engineering and transportation analysis;

Building engineering skills (Structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing);

Experience putting together a Civil Design Package for the following stages of design and

engineering:

Our Toronto office is seeking a Civil CAD Drafter to support our Infrastructure group. The successful candidate will have strong experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation for planning, design, and production of structural drawings for infrastructure and buildings projects.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Work from engineer's markups and sketches under minimum supervision.

Work under pressure in order to met project deadlines.

Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines

Work under nominal supervision for all but demanding work

Take responsibility for definable parts of a project

Ensure outputs meet the required standards and meet agreed deadlines.

Requirements:

3-5 years experience in the production of infrastructure drawings.

Proficient in MicroStation or AutoCAD

Experience in InRoads; proficiency in Revit would be a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Qualities:

Work effectively in a team environment, and a strong commitment to succeed.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.

Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
