Our integrated approach to engineering and design brings together the best professionals to meet our clients' needs.<br/><br/>We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the efforts on the design of all utilities for various infrastructure projects in Toronto, Ontario. The hired candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers and assist with various aspects including but not limited to:<br/><br/>Undertake highway and railway engineering using knowledge of a wide range of engineering skills including: land formation and earthworks, highways design, subdivisions, hydrology, hydraulic analysis and stormwater drainage systems; sanitary drainage systems; power, gas, telecommunications and water supply infrastructure.<br/><br/>Participate in traffic engineering and transportation analysis.<br/><br/>Review drawings detailing the systems designed; System design calculations.<br/><br/>Report writing.<br/><br/>Monitor quality of work and perform project reviews.<br/><br/>Requirments:<br/><br/>Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field plus 3<br/><br/>years experience in the offered position or related civil engineering/project engineering occupation.<br/><br/>As an alternative to a MS + 3, we'll accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in the offered position or related civil engineering/project engineering occupation.<br/><br/>Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.<br/><br/>E<br/><br/>xperience or coursework must include<br/><br/>the following:<br/><br/>Engineering skills including: land formation and earthworks, highways design, subdivisions, hydrology, hydraulic analysis and stormwater drainage systems; sanitary drainage systems; power, gas, telecommunications and water supply infrastructure;<br/><br/>Understanding of interactions with associated disciplines:<br/><br/>geotechnics, traffic engineering and transportation analysis;<br/><br/>Building engineering skills (Structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing);<br/><br/>4.<br/><br/>Experience putting together a Civil Design Package for the following stages of design and<br/><br/>engineering:<br/><br/>Concept Design, Scheme Design, Design Development and Contract Documentation.]]></description>

The successful candidate will have strong experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation for planning, design, and production of structural drawings for infrastructure and buildings projects.<br/><br/>Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:<br/><br/>Work from engineer's markups and sketches under minimum supervision.<br/><br/>Work under pressure in order to met project deadlines.<br/><br/>Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines<br/><br/>Work under nominal supervision for all but demanding work<br/><br/>Take responsibility for definable parts of a project<br/><br/>Ensure outputs meet the required standards and meet agreed deadlines.<br/><br/>Requirements:<br/><br/>3-5 years experience in the production of infrastructure drawings.<br/><br/>Proficient in MicroStation or AutoCAD<br/><br/>Experience in InRoads; proficiency in Revit would be a plus.<br/><br/>Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.<br/><br/>Qualities:<br/><br/>Work effectively in a team environment, and a strong commitment to succeed.<br/><br/>Excellent communication skills.<br/><br/>Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment.<br/><br/>Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.<br/><br/>Share your passion and experience in a global culture that believes your potential to achieve is endless.
