<title><![CDATA[Civil CAD Technician - (Los Angeles, California)]]></title>

Our integrated approach to engineering and design brings together the best professionals to meet our clients’ needs.<br/><br/>Our Los Angeles office is seeking an experienced CAD Operator for the Civil Engineering group to support this growing group on local and international projects. The successful candidate will have experience in the use of MicroStation, AutoCAD and preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D and have some knowledge and experience in the production of civil engineering details for site development, grading, drainage and utilities.<br/><br/>Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:<br/><br/>Use MicroStation and AutoCAD software to produce 2D drawings and be prepared to develop skills in 3D software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Rhino, Revit and NavisWorks. A working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.<br/><br/>Plans will generally consist of site development, grading, drainage, highways, site utilities, bridges and civil structures.<br/><br/>Preparing curb and gutter, utilities, etc to local standards (Los Angeles).<br/><br/>Have sound knowledge of engineering principles.<br/><br/>Coordinate work directly with engineers.<br/><br/>Work under minimal supervision.<br/><br/>Take responsibility for definable parts of a project.<br/><br/>Take responsibility for own work produced to a high standard.<br/><br/>Requirements:<br/><br/>Qualification in engineering or CAD<br/><br/>Candidates will have minimum 2 years of AutoCAD and preferably MicroStation computer design program experience.<br/><br/>Experience working on large infrastructure projects preferred but not essential<br/><br/>Knowledge of producing grading, drainage and utility plans and conversion of 3D models into 2D sheets preferred.<br/><br/>Qualities:<br/><br/>Good communication skills essential for team-based working<br/><br/>Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment<br/><br/>Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges<br/><br/>Able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines]]></description>
