Our Los Angeles office is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with experience in major highway, rail and other civil engineering projects. The hired candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers working on large and technically challenging projects.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Designing all components of a broad range of highways in both urban and rural environments.
Leading highway design teams on new and upgraded highway projects and on work associated with new rail projects.
Proactively engaging with clients and contractors to prepare high quality, technically efficient and cost effective project solutions.
Developing and maintaining good working relationships with clients and engineering partners.
Ensuring the technical, commercial and soft skills development of staff.
Preparing and reviewing high quality reports.
Qualified professionals will have:
Bachelors/Masters Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with a sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals
CA PE required
15-20 years experience in the design of major highway projects.
Demonstrated ability to lead large projects and manage a team of engineers.
Credibility and stature as senior client-facing presentation and management skills.
Experience of Design Build Procurement.
Business development capabilities
Commercial/finance awareness
Sound industry networks amongst the potential client market and a significant reputation in a relevant area of expertise.
Understanding of Caltrans standards and procedures.
