<title><![CDATA[Senior Marine \ Installation Engineer - (Houston, Texas)]]></title>

Our integrated approach to engineering and design brings together the best professionals to meet our clients’ needs.<br/><br/>Arup’s Houston office is currently seeking a Senior Marine Operation / Installation Engineer to carry out engineering work on a shallow-water self-installing platform.<br/><br/>Other projects include self installing platforms in steel and concrete for sub-arctic conditions. Job responsibilities include:<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Marine Operations and Installation Engineering works<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Naval Architecture of the installation and hydrodynamic analysis work for shallow water marine transport and installations.<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•High level planning and procedures for all aspects of installation, including seabed preparation, wet-tow, installation, scour protection, solid ballasting, bridging installation and decommissioning of all installation systems. Plans and procedures to be sufficient for completion of detailed design.<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Develop detailed specifications and scopes of work for all installation packages for procurement of the transportation and installation contractors.<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Work with the topsides layout team to develop layouts for all temporary systems.<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Work with the structural team for the design of all temporary works, including boat landings, temporary access, equipment supports, seafastenings, etc.<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Provide follow-on support to the project team for the implementation phase post detailed design, including review of procedures by the transportation and installation contractors, response to RFI and TQs, participation in HAZIDs, risk assessments and other associated workshops.<br/><br/>We will be commencing the detailed design shortly and will provide follow-on engineering support during fabrication and installation.<br/><br/>The qualified candidate will have:<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Naval Architecture / Ocean Engineering or Civil Structure Engineering Degree<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•8-15 years experience in installation of offshore structures / naval architecture.<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Experience working with major oil companies including experience working under the rigorous HSE policies of major oil companies.<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Experience working with design contractors and leading up an installation engineering teams<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Experience working with self-installing platform or heavy lifting for offshore structures<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>•Experience working in South East Asia and specifically the Philippines desirable<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>Bachelors/Masters Degree in Ocean Engineering / Naval Architecture or Civil/Structural Engineering with a sound knowledge of marine engineering fundamentals<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>Good communication skills are essential for team-based working<br/><br/>·<br/><br/>Prove legal right to work in the USA.
