Our Boston (Cambridge) office is currently expanding and

seeking an Electrical Engineer. Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

Laying out and circuiting of Lighting and Power devices and plans.

Circuiting of all HVAC and miscellaneous equipment.

Preparation of load calculations.

Design and integration of renewable energy systems

Preparation of preliminary single line diagrams.

Preparation of preliminary Short circuit & Voltage drop calculations.

Requirements:

Passed FE exam and working towards PE

Bachelor’s degree in Architectural/Engineering or Electrical Engineering

3-5 years of work experience in the building electrical engineering field

Proficient in AutoCAD and any experience with 3-D CAD, specially Revit MEP is a plus

Familiar with National Electrical code, Mass State Building Code and Energy standards

Our Boston office seeks an ambitious Mechanical Engineer to enhance our M/P/FP capacity. The potential candidate should have a minimum of 3 years experience in the design of mechanical systems and a solid knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, Trane Trace and eQuest. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Sound knowledge in mechanical engineering fundamentals

· Track record of sustainable and innovative approach to design

· Understanding of passive design systems that influence mechanical requirements

· Energy modeling experience

· Design mechanical systems including: heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls.

· Familiarity with codes, specifically CMR, IMC,ASHRAE standards 55, 62.1, 90.1

· Perform system design calculations.

· Prepare contract drawings detailing the designed systems.

· Select equipment for use in building systems.

· Report writing.

· Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.

· Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them.

· Incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings.

· Computer modeling related to building physics including airflow studies (CFD), thermal analysis.

Requirements:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in designing commercial buildings, museums, educational facilities; significant experience in the design of laboratories, or hospitals to work on high profile projects primarily designed out of our Boston office. You will be part of the management team and as such responsible for financial performance, client relations and team motivation and development. The position will report to the office senior leadership. Responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:

Lead effort to deliver HVAC design for a range of projects including laboratories

Be primary contact for the discipline with architects

Procure laboratory work in conjunction with the senior leadership of the office.

Build design group skills in the provision of low energy design for laboratory buildings.

Oversee a team of junior engineers and CAD staff in design delivery.

Provide general multidisciplinary coordination oversight including 3D delivery for all projects

Build, renew, and maintain relationships with building owners for the purpose of obtaining repeat business.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals.

At least 12 years of experience in the HVAC industry with recent and relevant laboratory design experience, and with evidence of involvement in concept design through construction administration and commissioning of systems.

Have project management, multidisciplinary coordination and supervisorial experience.

Business development capabilities, commercial/financial awareness.

PE required.

Evidence of public recognition of expertise preferred (articles, conference papers, ASHRAE committee membership, speaking engagements, etc)

Experience in sustainable building design, LEED AP BD+C preferred.
